Description of Coverages
|
|
When
you are involved in automobile accidents, auto insurance provides protection
for any bodily injury and/or property damage that may occur. The minimum
coverage required in Florida is $10,000 Personal Injury Protection and
$10,000 property damage. You should also consider other types and amounts
of insurance that would best fit your needs and that would best cover
your assets.
The following insurance coverages are key to protecting you
and your loved ones. Please click on each one to see a brief description
of each:

Things That May Affect Your Rates
Auto insurance rates are affected by a number of factors, including:
Zip code - Rates vary from zip code to zip code due to
the frequency of thefts, vandalism, and auto repair bills. For
example, insuring an auto in Miami, Florida may cost twice as
much as insuring an auto in Sanford, Florida.
Make and model of your auto - Cars that have a low theft
statistic or are cheaper to repair have lower insurance rates.
Driving record - Tickets, accidents (whether it's not-at-fault
or at-fault), and previous claims may raise your rates.
Age - Statistics show that younger, less-experienced
drivers, as well as senior drivers are involved in more accidents;
therefore, the rates for these drivers are higher.
Vehicle usage - Business use, commute, and pleasure use
are some usage categories. Each one is rated different. Business
use tends to be the highest rated, while pleasure use tends to
be the lowest rated.
